Important Update: New Visa-on-Arrival Procedure for Egypt (Cairo Airport)

Starting August 1st, passengers arriving at Cairo International who require a Visa on Arrival will need to obtain a QR code in place of the current paper visa sticker. How to get your QR code:

  • Via the mobile app, here https://apps.visaonarrival.gov.eg/
  • At Self-Service Machines in the airport arrival hall

The QR code will be sent to your phone or email. Please present it to the passport control officer on arrival. If you already hold a traditional paper visa sticker, it remains valid for entry during this period. This is currently a pilot phase limited to Cairo International Airport.

We recommend all passengers traveling to Cairo prepare their QR code in advance to ensure a smooth arrival experience.

Check-in Information for Aleppo (Syria) Flights

Starting from August 1st, for our flights to Aleppo, all passengers, including those who have completed online check-in and hold a digital boarding pass, are required to visit the check-in counter at Aleppo Airport before their flight and obtain their boarding pass there.

Due to congestion at the airport, we recommend arriving earlier than your planned time to ensure you can complete your pre-flight procedures on time.

We wish you a pleasant flight.

Important notice concerning third-party online check-in services

SunExpress does not partner with or endorse any external providers offering check-in services for a fee.  Our online check-in is free of charge and only available directly through our official website and mobile application.  To avoid any inconvenience, please use the check-in service provided via official SunExpress platforms.

Travel Advisory: Antalya Terminal 2

With its renewed and modernized structure, Antalya Airport now spans a much larger area. For our guests traveling abroad from Antalya Terminal 2, we strongly recommend arriving at the airport at least 3 hours before their flight to ensure they reach the aircraft on time and without any issues, due to the increased walking distances within the terminal.

After completing your check-in procedures, we kindly ask you to proceed without delay to passport control and then to your boarding gate.

We wish you a comfortable, safe, and pleasant flight.

Get prepared for your upcoming flight!

Here are some tips and tricks that will help you to have a smooth and comfortable journey with us during the busy summer season:

  • Check the entry requirements: By using our interactive tool, easily find out the travel documents you need to provide, such as visa or passport, for your destination country.
  • Get real-time updates: Check out the airport website to be informed about the most recent announcements made by the departure airport
  • Check the status of your flight: Visit our Flight Status page regularly before heading to the airport. If we have you contact details, you will also receive an e-mail and SMS notification in the event of flight delays
  • Use our convenient and free Online Check-in wherever possible. Otherwise, please note that checking in at the airport can be charged.
  • Arrive at the airport in a good time: Here you can find the updated airport check-in times. Please arrange your arrival at the departure airport according to these check-in times. Timely arrival is especially important for flights departing from the airports where night curfew is applied
  • Minimize the amount of your baggage: If possible, reduce the amount of your baggage you will take with you and ensure that it does not contain any prohibited items, medicine and valuable belongings such as money or jewelry.
  • Have your travel documents ready at all times
  • Inform us about your special service requests in advance:Due to limited availability, kindly let us know your special assistance request until 48 hours before departure
  • After check-in, please go straight to passport and security control. Then, make your way directly to the departure gate.
  • Schedule your onward journey with enough connecting time: Your flight might be delayed or your baggage may take longer than usual to arrive at the baggage claim. Please spare enough time for your airport pick-up arrangements when booking your onward travel (e.g. train ticket)

We hope that these hints help you have a pleasant experience on the ground, just like your experience with us up in the sky!

Thank you for your collaboration and understanding.
